Citizens & Taxpayers · What's in it for you?
OUR BUSINESS IS YOUR BUSINESS TOO.
Every time you pay your energy bill or your taxes, you contribute to the cost of our energy system. The United Kingdom shows the scale of what is at stake.
UK · Estimated future public cost
£11.7 billion
The estimated cost to the Exchequer of tax relief and repayments associated with decommissioning UK oil and gas infrastructure. This is a cumulative estimate of future costs, published in February 2026, not an annual figure.

Great Britain · Financial year 2024/25
£1.7 billion in one year
The cost of managing thermal constraints on the electricity network. This includes reducing generation where the network cannot carry it and adjusting production elsewhere. It is a broader category than payments to switch off wind turbines.

ESWave proposes bringing generation and storage together in a single machine. The TWEFDA Association takes that integration to another scale: six ESWaves coordinated through a Hub, conceived to manage together how energy is captured, stored and delivered. Its ambition is to create an offshore energy ecosystem with an identity of its own, able to connect other sources, such as wind farms, and adapt its operation to the needs of the grid.
For us, the value lies in everything that coordination could make possible: making use of energy that would otherwise be lost, sharing infrastructure and delivering power when it is most useful. TWEFDA seeks to design generation, storage and connection as parts of the same system. That purpose brings our business interests together with those of society: contributing to a more efficient, reliable and responsible energy supply.
The proposed architecture and its benefits remain subject to validation.
You can be part of that journey: contribute knowledge, collaborate in its development, support its testing or share the proposal with people who can help make it a reality. Think about what you can contribute to make this project yours too.
